  It isn't required. Launch nhlview.exe. In case of start of the program you will be asked to open: Static — the file where attributes of players are sewn up and many other things (EA Sports \\NHL07 \\db \\db.viv), Exhibition — an exhibition roaster — changes is relative db.viv and many other things (My documents \\NHL07 \\exhibition.exh), Secondary — a season (a dynasty, an online season, etc.). If you were going to edit simply a roaster for creation of a new season or exhibition games, don't open this file (My documents \\NHL07 \\seasonordynastyname.dyn or sea).
