Blitzkrieg II: Release

Came true! The second front opened, and now the Wehrmacht should battle not only in the east, to Russians, but also in Europe - to Americans, British and other allies. The most tragic and known from World War II battles - again before us!

  So, the next addition to already well-known game came out somehow imperceptibly, but at once began to shine all sides. Than it differs from original game? The first change which is evident, - absence of the heads which became habitual with invariable reinforcements. No, the card remained, missions too, it seems, are present and reinforcements in places meet. All officers (our divisions don't depend on them in experience any more) disappeared, and we don't choose any more, for what mission we will go, being subject to severe conditions of a plot. But... Such is now military life. For the burdens which comprehended us we were pleased with return of field-glasses for infantry. It is a lot of or a little? It is possible to judge it only after understanding of an essence of the following innovation.

Hardly it is possible to call the next difference new. More likely, this return to sources, to first "Blitzkrieg". Many missions need to be passed only by those forces that at you is initially. However there is also very essential difference. If first "Blitzkrieg" in the main weight - clarification of thin places in positions of the opponent and then attack of these places the tank wedge with assistance of infantry, here military operations usually at the same time go at once in several places. And that the most surprising, isn't present the distracting maneuver anywhere, everywhere everything is absolutely serious. Therefore real fans highly appreciated game, its missions are made top-level, they don't allow to relax and force to be constantly in tension, to wait for some meanness from the opponent. Actually complexity level always the highest. Of course, it can push away newly converted strategists, but those who doubted the forces, can always read the help about that, how exactly it is necessary to pass these or those missions, below...
  Specific conditions of game generated some new methods of conducting fight. The first of them - "driving of infantry". Often so there is a lot of infantry at the opponent, what is the extremely difficult to cope with it. But it "is remarkably conducted" on equipment, and especially dexterous cars (armored cars) can drag for themselves huge groups of infantry, in passing shooting it. Periodically they can directly pass through the opponent's system, in passing pressing enemy fighters. The main thing here - not to hesitate, differently will shower with grenades.

The increased value of machine guns which perfectly destroy enemy infantry became second "revelation". But! Machine guns and are perfectly destroyed by the opponent. Therefore they have to settle down behind cover from the infantry, then from them there will be more advantage. The most interesting surprise consists that the opponent usually has heavy tanks with which we have to finish averages. Anything new here, except a dyking, it is impossible to offer, but there is one cunning reception allowing to win against "monsters" with limited losses. For this purpose quickly we dig round one of tanks if we know that just about we will run on the opponent and after that appears, quickly we come to it into flanks one-two tanks. The heavy tank of the opponent usually is fond of the first purpose with which it can't be quit just like that (it is dug round), and boards at it more fragile therefore the fast result will be guaranteed.
  However, the most important changes wait for the player in the network mode. Because there were at once two modes in which the player can try the talents of a military leader. In the first of them, "Battlefield", you should group 5 groups, on 4 reinforcements in everyone. In a course of action with the rival you will serially receive these reinforcements. Also the one who most elaborately gathered the groups will win. For example, I opposed to several platoons of average tanks the battery of anti-tank guns, infantry, howitzers and antiaircraft guns. The second type of network game is called "Domination", and in it you should take control of some point in the battlefield and to keep her from similar action from the opponent. However, It should be noted that persons interested to battle in the new modes a little and if you have a desire to become the winner in these categories, will be quite difficult to be carried out it...

Four tanks, apart from infantrymen

What "Blitzkrieg" without new types of equipment? Here and now we received already 4 new tanks, on two for allies and the German troops. However, as usual, these tanks can be used only during this addition, in the network mode you won't meet such cars. But nevertheless...
  So, the first the German ranks were joined by a self-propelled gun "Marder". According to the characteristics it is the quite good fighter of tanks, but it is a long-range platform which can't be dug round. It isn't recommended to put it in forward ranks extremely that at similar characteristics of arms "Marder" extremely concedes to StuG III in booking. Therefore this self-propelled gun at a meeting face to face quickly is turned into a can full of holes.

"Shturmtigr" will be available to us in only one mission. Differs in excellent booking and a small stock of shells. Represents a powerful self-propelled mortar which perfectly deals with enemy guns because if doesn't break the tool, will thoroughly cripple gunners.
  Americans received M18 "Hellket". One more nice self-propelled gun of an anti-tank orientation. And again in the American style - with a rotary tower. Well here it is possible to tell - it was quite good earlier, and now it became even better.
  At last, the English easy Tetrarkh tank became the last. Here it it is extraordinary many and it is bright. If manages to approach closer - won't spare also "Panther". Though at its 40-millimetric pushechka it, apparently, is impossible. But the fact remains, car absolutely terrible.

In fights for Europe

This time campaign will be devoted to difficult fights for Europe when the German troops are on one side, and on another - allies. It what wasn't enough in original "Blitzkrieg 2". The most "not dull" years - 1943-44...

Allies

It should be noted that campaigns for allies were not the most worked. Though a landing to Italy and Normandy nevertheless were expected. Here at last all also happened...

Road to Rome

1. Tobacco factory
  The first task will be order to beat out Germans from tobacco factory. Investigation showed that they use it as base for tanks.
  In the beginning we are offered to take storm factory. I recommend not to climb on the central road, and to be displaced aside and to break a wall to the left of it. The matter is that Germans shoot all road from guns, and at an entrance on the territory in the above described way they won't manage to be developed. Then we dig round guns about the central road and it is taken a control point. It will be followed by reciprocal attack of Germans from 7-8 tanks and group of infantry (and before it there will be an artillery preparation on the central street). Having beaten off it, we will receive reinforcements and we will have to leave the town to the north and there be fixed. The matter is that in the city it will be impossible to defend - the opponent will constantly send tanks which spread on streets and attack from the different parties.
  Destruction of the artillery battery in the east will be the following task. It is possible to shoot simply it the long-range guns, and it is possible to take a control point. For the last at first it is necessary to fire at the patch before congress from the bridge - there is a good anti-tank gun which won't pass any your tank. And then to destroy the battery as easy as shelling pears. Then it is possible to destroy by the same howitzers the battery of antiaircraft guns which were fixed slightly below than the village. There are they very successfully, and attempt of storm will end with very big losses. At last, the remained forces it is seized railway station.

2. San Pietro
  In break of the German line of strengthenings San Pietro's village - key point. You are given honourable opportunity to take it.
  For a start it is necessary to destroy the enemy battery on east hill. Here the main military operations will be conducted by infantrymen in the company with tanks. However, to the North of mines it is few therefore there it is possible to pass almost safely. After a capture of the second hill you should reflect counterattack of Germans from the North. But them will be a little, and you have to cope with this task.

3. Disembarkation in Antsio
  Disembarkation of paratroopers about Antsio took place extremely unsuccessfully, and now Germans hurry to liquidate the base. You should defend positions and not to allow to break to the German tanks.
  For a start we send the officer the jeep to the village where we brake the trucks going to the back and we send them to positions. You shouldn't fill entrenchments infantry, it only carries out a cover role for guns and machine guns. Simply we add new infantrymen as destroy the old.   The monastery in Kassino - one more key point of the German defense. And already passed three attacks to it in which troops of allies suffered huge losses. Now the fourth attack which has to become the last and victorious begins.
  It is offered to us to take Cairo heights. Reinforcements a heap therefore the problem so is solved - we take at once some reinforcements and tanks with assistance of infantry we break through a narrow corridor. We don't need to come on all width of the hill yet, it is enough "to punch" defense through. But further we will attack not frontally, and from the flank. It will be very good if it is possible to capture the howitzer battery. Then it will be possible to help itself with approach by fire of heavy tools.
  At some point Germans will carry out counterattack from the North on the road. If be well fixed at height, you will shoot from above, and the enemy won't manage to break. Further to us will add reinforcements and will give out own howitzers. Then will suggest to storm the monastery. The main thing at this storm - to mark and destroy enemy guns and mortars, they disturb not only to us, but also allies who attack from the front. Use howitzers for destruction of enemy artillery. For the rest the same - tanks with assistance of infantry. One more complexity - from where from backs Germans will constantly send reinforcements. So don't tighten storm, differently the enemy will simply crumple you quantity.

Fields of Normandy

That is surprising, developers avoided all the acquaintance "Day D" and told us of time in some months after the beginning of disembarkation in Normandy. Namely - about the operation "Cobra" and end of an environment near Falez. Well, so you will be able to learn about much less known events, than fights on a beach Omaha...

1. Height 112
  Disembarkation took place in Normandy not too successfully, and now troops of allies try to hack defense of Caen. Your task - to take height 112 and to provide success of further attacks.
  For a start it is necessary to clear the bar. It is simple, it is quite enough tanks with assistance of infantry. But further it will be necessary to carry out the distracting attack. Its purpose - to destroy an earth pillbox. It isn't necessary to be fond and climb to the city. The reciprocal wave of tanks will demolish all your troops from there, how many them was. Therefore accurately we destroy a pillbox and the first line of entrenchments, coming on the parties from the road, but not on the road. On the approach course we strengthen the main part of forces on a hill, at height 112.
  When the distracting attack achieves success - counterattack of Germans will begin. At first they inertly attack positions in the north. Attack on the town in the south will be a trace, and you hardly stop it. But then there will be a continuous approach of Germans to your positions on the hill. If you were already fixed there, some waves of the enemy won't break. 2. The road on Saint-Lo
  For rescue of all operation on disembarkation in Normandy the operation "Cobra" was planned. According to this plan, the next key point of the German defense it was necessary to become Saint-Lo. And you have to take it...

3. Operation "Cobra"

Therefore they should go in a rear guard, behind your average tanks for which at such quantity of possible reinforcements it isn't too a pity. After occupation of the two first cities and safety of tanks it is necessary only to seize the last city.

4. Falezsky copper
  Unsuccessful German counterattack led the German troops to threat of an environment. And now you can close a ring, having seized the city of Falez.
  The beginning looks painfully - forces a little, and defense already in some layers. We will apply military cunning - it is necessary to pass accurately on the left road to its crossing with a primer, and on it to leave to headquarters of the opponent. As a result the majority of guns won't even manage to be developed, and pillboxes and crowds of infantry in general won't prevent us in any way.
  The following task will be to take two German towns. At first we are fixed by troops on a hill near recently seized headquarters to stop attacks from the western town, and meanwhile we take the east. And already then on the highway we attack the western. Very important - the control point in the western town should be taken one swoop. If Germans beat off attack, will receive for this reinforcement. Therefore at unsuccessful storm our attacks will be similar to Sisyphean task. But, having taken a control point, it is necessary only to smooth out vicinities and to take Falez. And operation in Normandy comes to the end...

Germany

For Germany it wasn't succeeded to find two ingenious operations therefore opposition of the German troops of the operation "Garden Market", failure for allies, was taken for one of them. Well, it turned out quite convincingly...

Operation "Garden Market"

Here the part of the Dutch operation which became one of the most mass landing operations in World War II will be compactly presented to you. After all 35 thousand paratroopers from several divisions were landed at once already. However headquarters of allies didn't manage to estimate correctly a condition of troops of Wehrmacht, and tasks of a landing weren't carried out, bridges through Maas were destroyed or remained in hands of Germans...

1. Educational battalion
  Disembarkation of parachute troops of allies in Holland only began, and approach didn't manage to gain steam yet. Therefore it is supposed that our educational battalion will manage to hold positions until sappers don't undermine bridges. For a start it is necessary to constrain vanguard of parachutists. We pull out the idlers who sat down at tent and we place all on the available entrenchments. Then as soon as possible we drag the armored car which settled down nearby without which not to defend a position.
  Coped with the first flow? It is time to pass to the following task. And it consists that it is necessary to protect training camp. For this purpose we move all the survived fighters (and an armored car) is closer to it, and at the same time we have in entrenchments and on perimeter the help which will come because of edge of the screen. Our fighters will be able quite to cope with enemy infantry, and here with brisk "Tetrarkhami" of the opponent is better to use the tank and a self-propelled gun to fight more actively, appointing attack manually. Otherwise these bright children will kill infantry. After the end of the first attack there will be a new task - to protect sappers while they mine the bridge. The tank, an armored troop-carrier and one-two groups of infantry will be enough to cover sappers from all possible directions (the opponent can't sometimes break at all, having stopped at already available barriers), and the others will be engaged in defense of the same training camp as simpler to protect it, than the city.

2. Sector Eindhoven
  Parachutists press, and now it is necessary to use the best efforts to beat off from them. I would tell that it is the most difficult mission in the German campaign as attacks go at once from several directions and for a victory in it it is necessary to play only with the reduced speed.
  The first task consists that it is necessary to protect a crossing in the city the Dream from attack of English parachutists. We pull out all fighters from buildings and we stack them before the city, covering a gun and a machine gun. We take away the tank for infantry positions. These forces have to be enough to reflect some swoops of infantry of the opponent. If you manage to keep a gun, it will shoot down "Tetrarkhov" if isn't present, then the tank has to cope with them. During attacks it is necessary to watch constantly it - the tank has to escape surely, it is useful in the following task.
  If you decided that tasks will go strictly serially, strongly you are mistaken. Already on the course of the first fight it is necessary to move troops from the city to positions about the top and lower bridges. Thus tanks and couple of groups of infantry go to the lower bridges, and armored cars, the gun and all other infantry go to the city of Best where will protect sappers. Initial preparation goes along with the first task.
  In Besta we pull out infantry from houses and together with the suitable help it is had all before the city, covering a gun and couple of machine guns. Then the tank from Son who has to cover the left flank remarkably will approach. Don't try to defend in the city at all - the opponent has too much infantry, it will simply mow clean your groups one by one. Besides, such tactics will allow to destroy infantry separately from tanks. If you defend in the city, the infantry will wait for approach "Tetrarkhov", and those will beat out your fighters from buildings. Then add one more gun from the city, and all position has to stand long and persistently. If the gun in Sonya escaped, to you it won't manage to be dragged to Best, but she will be able to get up in the wood and to shoot at the flank to the coming allies.
  Bridges below the city will attack after Best, but there heavy tanks will advance to the attack, and with them will fight very not easy. And it is best of all to defend not in the city, and about wooden and stone bridges because here it is very easy to make one of two bridges. Everything begins not with tanks at all, and with the repair truck located in the village nearby. To them we mine approaches to the wooden bridge, after we mine approaches to the stone bridge (it is necessary to begin far away) and we put on the stone bridge couple of obstacles from infantry. Further we dig them entrenchments on our coast and we put to repair tanks. Besides, we evacuate snipers - all of them will be able to help us with fights with the coming infantry. Here the idea of defense looks so: tanks shoot infantry on the bridge, and that falls soon. After that defense about the wooden bridge it is possible to turn and withdraw all equipment to lower, stone. The main feature of the stone - in a mining. At once some tanks will get stuck on distant approaches to the bridge, preventing to get out on it the rest. These tanks shouldn't be knocked down at all because only it will reduce "inflow" of enemy infantry and equipment on the bridge. As attacks of tanks will go along with fights about Best, it is necessary to play at the lowered speed. But at the correct approach you sustain all attacks until sappers mine bridges.

3. Infernal road
  The first attacks are beaten off, and now Germans take the offensive. In this mission by our task will cut off army of allies from supply, having cut the highway and having intercepted trucks with ammunition.
  For a start we should carry out the distracting attack to the city of Shindel, having delayed to it part of troops from Vegel. Here it is necessary to use field-glasses of infantry and to mark both guns turned in our party. If at the same time to attack in pair of tanks everyone, at most that tools, - to shoot on time will be able. Perhaps, even won't get at all. After that we clean infantry from entrenchments and we destroy the tank in the town. But first of all we dig round tanks in the West, behind entrenchments and about them we stack infantry. Then by one armored car it is beaten out the last enemy infantrymen. And right there we beat off attack of the opponent. If you managed to be fixed, approach will choke, and you won't suffer essential losses. Right after the end of fight will go groups into your disposal in the north.
  Now our task - to seize the city, having at the same time ridden out the road. The road goes through the city from the southeast on the northwest, and it is best of all to begin with destruction of a post in the northwest as there will pass couple of trucks soon, and there it is possible to intercept them at once. The capture of the city simply, the only problem is represented by the antiaircraft gun which settled down in southeast part of the city about railway tracks. It is quite difficult to see it therefore it is necessary to attack from "dead" corners or infantry, differently it will spoil many tanks. At once after occupation of the city (it is necessary to destroy some cars on railway tracks) there will take place disembarkation of parachutists in the West, and from the remained post tanks with assistance of infantry will come. If to reflect this attack, it is necessary only to constrain some more approaches from both directions and to destroy all trucks which will try to break through the city.

4. Perimeter
  The operation "Garden Market" failed, and now the German troops should consolidate the success. But Arnhem still in hands of English parachutists who should be destroyed before to them the armored division comes to the rescue.
  The first task - to seize the city museum. Sil at us is seemingly enough, but you shouldn't break directly by no means. On the contrary, at first it is necessary a small amount of tanks with assistance of infantry and troops of a special purpose to pass on the extreme western street to the bridge. At such option you will bypass all main anti-tank strengthenings of the opponent and partially entice infantry from the neighboring streets, and receive it a la carte, but not all at once. Members of spetsnaz let go in the reserved mode and mark bombers in buildings.
  As soon as you reach the square in front of the bridge and clear it of the opponent, time will come to perform a task. By the way, it is worth making the way to the bridge quicker, differently you won't be in time and to you will include defeat. It is best of all to seize the museum from church, which already in our hands. And it is more convenient to go down the street which is higher than the museum - better the review.
  After the museum to us will suggest to take the bridge under control. Let two-three "Panthers" at a full speed fly by through it and pass for infantry entrenchments. And there they will easily shoot the infantrymen who are dug round in them. Performance of this task will open for us a way to reinforcements and, what is absolutely pleasant, - to howitzers. Therefore to clear Arnhem of parachutists and to break through perimeter about Osterbryuk it will appear easy as a pie. Snipers mark the purposes, howitzers destroy anti-tank constructions, and tanks shoot infantry in entrenchments.

Last blitzkrieg

The last offensive operation of Germany in World War II appeared the extremely unexpected for forces of allies. Germans almost managed to carry out objectives. At least, they almost reached the Maas River. Fierce resistance of separate parts of allies (here you at last will be able to take a detached view of Bastoni's storm Germans), the second - shortage of fuels and lubricants became the first stumbling block (strategic plans assumed capture of warehouses with fuel). However finally allies from defeat were rescued only by the compelled approach of Red army which delayed on itself reserves of Wehrmacht...

1. Watch on Rhine
  So, allies aren't ready to approach, and our second tank division is torn forward, to their centers of supply. For now it is necessary to take two bridges on which our approach will develop.
  First Bridge undertakes by means of several offices of members of spetsnaz. Here especially snipers of members of spetsnaz who remarkably cope with enemy bombers will help. Very much I recommend to cause reinforcements in advance and in as it is possible bigger quantity because there will be they from the beginning and it will be impossible to receive them quickly.
  The city defends poorly, only in ten tanks and rare infantrymen. But right after it to you will suggest to take control points near the last bridge. It is best of all not to distract on an extreme line of defense on which practically there are no anti-tank means, and it is simple to slip through entrenchments average tanks and to fly them through the bridge to the city, the benefit to resist there almost a nekomu.vermakhta...

2. Baston
  Approach started slipping a little, and now your task - to help with Bastoni's storm, a strong point through which pass some strategically important roads. Mission, in general, rather simple. For the aid to us are given out some "Shturmtigrov", which in essence - big self-propelled howitzers. They are ideally suited for destruction of enemy anti-tank artillery. Therefore everything is passed as follows - the infantry marks enemy positions, tanks it cover. Especially mean points are fired by your self-propelled guns. Only consider that "Shturmtigra" shoot at everything that will see, and the recharge for them won't be. Therefore if you hope to gain effect from them until the end of a task, but not to spend their shells for infantry entrenchments, it is best of all to develop after attack them a stern to the opponent's positions. As soon as you seize the put villages, mission will end.

3. Encounter attack
  Approach German of troops strongly slowed down, but still there are chances to leave to Maas. Therefore the second tank division under our command should carry out this task, having taken control over Sell.
  For a start it is necessary to take the city of Kyustenn. In general task this hard. We have some "Panthers" and the right to cause one more reinforcement. The most correct will be to ask one more group of average tanks and with its help quickly to take storm the city. If to drag out, to the place of the destroyed there will constantly arrive new tanks.
  After that we will be given out three reinforcements (as well as for any the subsequent taken city) and will suggest to take the village of Ashen from which there are enemy tanks. However I don't recommend to do it, receive encounter attack with a lot of enemy heavy tanks, and they will simply crush weight. Instead we pass slightly further on the road, we cause group of heavy tanks and together with the remained average tanks we are dug round by it on the hill. Everything, enemy tanks won't pass here.
  The remained reinforcements (it is best of all) to take average tanks plus infantry the town to the North from your positions. Receive three more reinforcements with which it is possible to slip below Sell and to attack the cities in a northeast corner of the card. Except additional reinforcements, you also will destroy howitzers which command Sell's suburbs. Now you will have enough troops to take Ashen on the flank (not towards to the going tanks). But after its capture reinforcements will stop approaching allies. It is necessary to take the remained small towns under control and by all available forces to attack Sell.

4. Turning point
  The last attempt to break the course of war broke, and now the German troops risk to get to an environment. Actively coming divisions are bloodless and very much try to avoid "bag". Your task - to help them to recede.
  Mission is quite ambiguous that there are some directions from which there can come the computer, and predict in advance, from where it will press, it is impossible. At the same time, if defensive redoubts aren't created in advance, to hold on on positions is almost unreal.   Funny, but almost any strategy about World War II doesn't do without this small tank. Here and "Blitzkrieg 2" joined the company of the trustful. And how it was actually?

More precisely, it became "a lung cruiser" the tank, some kind of attacking. Though big series it was never issued.
