We don't know, whether it was much written theses on a subject "An image of the fighting robot in science fiction" (perhaps, any), but here really is about what to talk. Battletech which appeared in 1984 in the form of a board game, installed quickly entered a stream, and already some years later bellows as fighting robots veterans tenderly call, debuted in computer games. The mix developed by Westwood from strategy, RPG and a quest under the name Crescent Hawk Redemption became the first game based on. Unlike it MechWarrior was already real simulator of the fighting robot in which development now deceased Dynamix was engaged. It is difficult to imagine more suitable developer for the first simulator of the fighting robot — Dynamix since the beginning of the 80th did tank simulators, and is frequent with a bias in sci-fi, plus was aware of all kitchen concerning a three dimensional graphics. MechWarrior turned out not simply game in which we looked at green vector fields allegedly from a fur cabin, перестреливаясь with the opponent from time to time. Here were also role elements. Thanks to them the double effect was reached: if for fans of a series and so was for happiness to dig in details of legendary machines, for normal players it became a new experience, but it is a new experience very pleasant. |
